Looks like summer has returned to Ohio this week huh? Well maybe that means a mild winter is in store which would be good news for all of you. I hear winter heating prices could be ghastly this winter. Winter is when my electric bill is the cheapest, averaging about $30/month. Summer it is over $100/month. I save a lot by turning the A/C off at night and having the windows open. I'll take a fresh breeze over artificial air anytime. I hate having the A/C on all night. I love it when an easterly breeze is coming in at 15-20mph (which is the forecast for tonight). The night bugs chirping and the ficus tree rustling next to my window, lows in the mid to upper 70s, that's great sleeping weather.
The woolie catipllars and such indicate that we are going to have a severe winter. However, I've been here for 51 winters, and since I've been paying attention, we're ALWAYS going to have a severe winter.
Winter utility bills are $165 at the highest. Summer (A/C) bills are about $85. Last bill was about $40.
It will either be cold, or it won't be. And there is little we can do.
Yeah, it's gonna climb back up into the 80's during the day and not quite as chilly at night.
